Of course there are tons of products at Clickbank, but you might want to look in a couple different places for digital products. We will also look at physical products soon. There are a couple reasons you might want to look at other places for digital products, other than clickbank.

Hi Dawn -
If you’ll go back to this Lesson:
http://www.learnitstepbystep.com/how-to-measure-your-campaign-ideas-competition.html
About 1/2 way down there’s a description of how to start organizing your campaign info bits (affiliate link possibilities in this case)
Use notepad (start -> programs -> accessories -> notepad usually) or wordpad.
A Word document would work too.
Re. paypal - whatever email address you signed up for your paypal account with is the right one.

I couldn’t find any products from either paydot.com or 7 dollar offers that relate to my campaign. Should I leave it for now, or look elsewhere?
Thanks

You don’t need products from everywhere - this exercise it to get a feel for the many resources that are out there. There are many many affiliate networks - this is just a taste.
Were you able to find something else where?

Hi, and thanx for this great site. Got this far today, my first day, but have missed the text document as did Dawn. Will correct that and proceed asap. Just wanted to say hello and thank you.

Hey Carolyn,
You are doing great. Maybe I need to make the text doc a little more clear. I just find it invaluable when I need something from a campaign I’ve done a while back ~ I don’t have to go recreat links or anything it’s all there.
Keep up the great work!

Hi Jackie,
I, as well as some of the others taking the tutorials, are not familiar with Notepad.
I just found notepad (from your instructions) and saved my product URL’s, save as and gave it my campaign name.
My questions is, in the box where you name the file, it comes up with a txt extension, should we leave that on the end of the name we gave the file or delete and rename??
Do you know where those of us unfamiliar with Notepad can go for a little extra help? It seems like everyone uses it, specially for article marketing.
Once again, Thanks for being here for us,
Carole

You can just fill in the name you gave it, it will save as a txt (text) file.
Here’s some more information about notepad and other types of text editors.

Just FYI, when in doubt you can always ask Google, simply put in what you want to know and chances are it will give you what you are looking for.

Hi all,
Great help this site:)
Can you promote several products from the one lens and can you have all the same products on each of the lenses in your campaign?
Daisie

Hi Daisie -
You can promote whatever (and however many) products you’d like on each lens - but here’s the thing, unless you focus on a single product/sales page target - how will you know what’s working and what isn’t?
You’ll also dilute your traffic.
You can promote your product from as many lenses as you want.

Thanks for the quick reply Andrea, I think I have got it. All my lenses (5) are about the same Niche, they are all promoting one product so if I wanted to promote another product (of any kind) it would be better to start another lens and if that took off build more around it. Is that right?

Yes exactly.
Many targeted sales funnels - do more of what works. That’s OWM in a nutshell.

Hi Jackie and Andrea,
for the 7dollar offer site, in their FAQ section they say that you should have a business type Paypal account, in order to qualify for affiliate payouts.
Personally, I have a Premier account. Do I need to upgrade to a business account, or Premier is just as good?
Thanks
18 Jackie and Andrea // Aug 24, 2009 at 4:25 am
Hi Nicos -
Either will do - the business one is for anyone who wants to use a business name instead of their personal name.
But both Premier and Business can receive funds - which is what matters to the affiliate programs.

Let’s say I want to promote Tonka toy trucks. I want to catch the people who are searching online specifically for this brand. I’ve heard that having websites with brand names can lead to brand encroachment issues, but I’ve also heard that brand name specific models can be very high converting keywords. On the other hand, PPG says go for evergreen topics that will always be current, and specific models can be here one year and gone the next. Please comment on both the website/brand name and evergreen issues….thanks!

It’s two different strategies. They both work, and you have to choose which one you’ll do.
Yes, if you use a trademark name in your website url they can ask you to take it down. I don’t think it’s as big a deal on Squidoo as it is for your own hosted site, and with that said, I’ve got some trademark name urls and I’ve not had any problems.
It’s a risk, you just have to decide if it’s a risk you want to take.
