We have almost all the basics we need covered to really get started with our campaign. There’s just one more thing you need to have before you can get started, and that’s a paypal account. Paypal is kind of like an online bank. You can recieve and send money, it’s where you will get paid to from Squidoo, and some other affiliate programs.

I already have a paypal account, but it is connected up to my credit card, not my bank account. Will this be still suitable?
Thanks

Yes you can still receive money there.
And there are lots of ways to pay for thing with Paypal funds these days - I use their debit card (not sure if the bank account had to be in place first or not?)

Hi ladies —
I have an existing paypal account and it’s attached to an email address that I seldom use and is through my ISP as well.
I don’t necessarily want to cancel that paypal account but is it possible to either change the email address to a gmail account (without starting over) OR is it possible to just create an additional paypal account? I mean, can you have 2?
Thanks

You can add an email address to your current acct. On the overview page at paypal you will see an “edit profile” link next to your name. You can add another email address there.

thanks so much. I know I’ve been asking a lot of questions today as I go through the various lessons but I feel like I’m getting so many of these little details accomplished! I really appreciate your help and answers to my questions. I know getting things set up correctly from the git-go is going to mean smoother sailing ahead.

Hi Jackie and Andrea,
A friend of mine actually purchased an Amazon product from one of my Squidoo lenses, but the sale has never showed up on my Squidoo lens page. Is there a reason why it hasn’t shown up? Do the sales have to accumulate to a certain amount?
Thanks,
Carole

Hi Carole -
Hey - had to powwow with Jackie on this one - here’s what we know.
“If it came through a squidoo link you can go to the royalties tab for the lens in her dashboard
scroll down to the bottom and there will be a list of sold products not sure how quickly those show up”
The other possibility is that you used a straight Amazon link - you’d login to the Amazon affiliate area to see that.

Thank you both, I have only been looking at Squidoo. Went to Amazon and I had 3 sales, what a nice surprise.
Thanks again,
Carole

Hi Jackie, Andrea: thank you for all your clear informations. As a newbie I will always have some questions as you might expect. I am somewhat confused with the following: I am promoting products for Amazon, in my text I mention Amazon at times. I also found a product that matches my niche and campaing from Clickbank. I got my links for both Amazon and Clickbank on my lens. Is that a correct way to do it? The links are in different lenses though. Can I use as many vendors’ links as I wish? Thank you.

You CAN use as many vendors as you like, however it really works better when you focus on one product to promote per lens. It can dilute your results when you have people going to more than one place per lens.

Hi There,
Just signed up for clickbank and was wondering how they pay you — assuming they have anything to pay you!

by check via the mail. There are some hoops you can jump through and then they’ll send it direct deposit to your bank.

Hi Andrea/Jackie,
I had to create a Paypal account to pay for your service! I figured I’m not going to be selling anything myself, so I signed up for just the buying account and put in my credit card info, no banking info. Will this work ok? Or should I change my account type? Can I even do that? Thanks!

Hi Gary -
It’s been a long time since I had a personal Paypal account. My Guess is that paypal will prompt you when your account activity is outside of the personal box.
And yes, you can upgrade (this from their help file):
How do I upgrade my Personal account?
Question :
Answer :
Here’s how to upgrade to a Premier or Business account:
1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click Upgrade Account in the Enhance Your Account box.
3. Click Upgrade Now.
4. Choose Business or Premier account.
5. Click Continue.
6. For a Business account, fill in your business information and click Continue.
Seems easy enough to take care of now?
Andrea
