PotPieGirl mentions a great site to help with finding hot new products at Clickbank. I find the Clickbank marketplace a bit difficult to navigate and it’s hard to find new products so you can get ahead of the masses. This great little site is the answer to that problem.

CB-Analytics and see what ideas you come up with! Make sure you write them down. ( Should I write down words that I think could be potential key words? Also, should I write down the web site so I can find it later and link to it )

I like to paste all things related into a word .doc - the lists of niche ideas I do better with pen and paper - it’s just better for me visually.
Remember if it’s on CB, you can always find it again pretty easily.
Maybe making a bookmark folder of “Possible Affiliate Products” would help?

Hi Ty,
Again we are just looking for niche ideas. We are making a list of possible ideas for niches/campaigns we can use in the future.
If you have a nice long list you won’t have to do this part over and over again, you can just grab one off the list when you are ready to start a new campaign.
We will be doing keyword research soon. Right now we are just getting niche ideas.

Ok , just so I understand. If a Campaign is about “your pet cat” Then the niche words could be, fur balls, feas, declaws, long hair, short hair, ect. Is that correct.
But are you also telling me that later we might start a Campaign on Feas, with new niche words like, sand feas, wood feas, out side feas, inside feas, ect.
Am I understanding this correctly.

Hi Ty -
Nope, we’re going much tighter than that.
Have you read “A Conversation with Nick” in your OWM materials from PotPieGirl?
That should help with this piece of the puzzle.
Let us know when you’ve gotten through it

Andrea,
As my “hero” would say, “thank you, thank you very much.”
Now, IF you can tell me who that is I’ll give you 2 Attaboys!!

I need to make a recommendation. If possible it would be great if you could set up the OWM Guide, as well as Conversation with Nick so we could copy and paste portions that are hot keys for us. As we get further into this I can see where it will be important.

We can not change the manual ~ it is in pdf format and we can’t really change that.
You can always point us to page numbers.

Guess I’ll have to rely on that one remaining cell, and type it in my “new” manual.

Not having dealt with ‘bookmarks’ before, how
do I “make a bookmark folder for Possible Affiliate Products”? And how do I get to it when I’ve got my lesson (or CB site) up?
Russell
14 Jackie and Andrea // Feb 22, 2009 at 8:45 pm
to make a bookmark folder just click on the bookmarks link at the top of your browser. Right click and you should see “create new folder” do that and then you can bookmark any page and just choose that folder to keep it in.
Or you can write possible programs down on paper or in your text document you started. It’s just a matter of what works for you.
You want to have a place where all this information is kept together so you can find it easily when you need it, whether that’s tomorrow or next year.

I went to CB Analytics but it must have changed its appearance since you did your manual. Are you referring to the tag of “New Product (RSS)” ???
This is a great way of finding niches… I am loving the information you are providing!!!
Have you considered putting these lessons on video? That would probably make this even more valuable … you could show what you are referring to in PotPieGirls book… just a thought.
16 Jackie and Andrea // Feb 26, 2009 at 11:24 am
Hi Robin -
Yeah they’ve changed their look & feel alright. You’ve got the right tab - new products (rss).
That takes you to a page with a list by day (over the course of the month) of all the new products people are publishing on Clickbank.
Neat huh?
Andrea
PS. Thanks for your excitement ! Yeah we’re considering a video upgrade option - we’ve been doing videos for our one on one coaching folks and that’s working really great for some folk for sure.

Hi girls it’s Dawn, I’m still having such a hard time picking campaign or lens ideas. My friend has a medical condition/disease I wanted to write about that is hardly on squidoo and there is no clickbank product at all for it. It’s so frustrating. Then I wanted to write about a particular form of cancer and there is a clickbank ebook but it must be new because it has no stats at all, it’s a 17.99 ebook and it doesn’t even tell how much of a percentage you would get! Also, I’m still not clear about whether to just throw up test lenses on all these or to plan a 5-6 lenses campaign. I’m having trouble finding products to sell though. I can think of things to write about but not to montize. Any suggestions?
18 Jackie and Andrea // Mar 7, 2009 at 8:53 am
Hi Dawn -
Hey I say if you want to write, you should write. Traffic is first thing!
Once you’ve identified a hungry market - it can be as simple as asking them what they want. And worst case, you’ll have the rest of the OWM process down pat and know what you want to do differently next time.
For me, it’s easiest to ’seize the moment’ and do a quick lens on a topic so I remember I wanted to do it in the first place.

Hi Jackie and Andrea
I am looking at new products. If there is no information about commission, it menas tehre is no affiliate program for this product? DO i need to get into each website and see ifthey have a program?
Thanks
Andrea
20 Jackie and Andrea // Mar 17, 2009 at 6:13 pm
Hey Andrea,
Every product on CB has an affiliate program that’s why they are there. If you click on create a hoplink it will show you what the commission is going to be, and if there’s no price listed you can check out the sales page ~ which you should do anyway.
There is no information because they are new and people haven’t really starting selling them yet. The more people start selling the more information there will be.
There are two points of view on this topic. You get first crack at selling new products to people ~ ones that aren’t over marketed and so well known no one listens anymore which is good.
The other side is that you are marketing brand new products, no one has come before you, so you don’t know how well have sold for others.
I would run them through the same test you would any other product, and that is outlined in the post I believe.

Hi Jackie
Thanks for your prompt answer.
Excuse if I am asking an obvius question. But where is teh create a hoplink link?
ALso As I am looking through the new products in March, I find all of them interesting (I am skipping the money making ones). I know I still have to get them to see if they are worthwhile. But AM I missing a point here or am I on teh right track?
Thanks
Andrea

Hi Andrea -
If you click through on the product username at the top of the listing, it takes you through to a page where the % is listed.
Then you can check the sales page link for the price.
I wouldn’t buy all of the CB products that catch your eye though - first order of business is traffic. Just seeing that there is a market and knowing that you have options to monetize is enough at this stage.

23 Jackie and Andrea // Mar 17, 2009 at 7:28 pm
Sorry Andrea,
I was thinking about clickbank in my previous answer.
If you are logged in at cb-analytics and you click through to the product username ~ like Andrea mentioned in the last comment you will see a url.
If you hover over the url it will create a hoplink for you.

I am so excited!
Your course is great.
The heavy veils of confusion are lifting from my head that have been left by all the internet ’stuff’ out there.
Thank both of you for being there and putting out this course.
Weeeee this is great, for the first time I am beginning to feel like I am getting the hang of this.
Found so many great new products at cb-analytics, I LOVE IT !
25 Jackie and Andrea // Apr 10, 2009 at 7:52 am
Just remember at this point you are not looking for products but for ideas to find great keywords.
When looking through CB products you MUST dig DEEP. You can’t just go with the product name or big topic idea. You really need to dig in there. Think about the problem the product solves, or information it teaches. Who would benefit from the product ~ start searching for those type of keywords in the keyword tool and you’ll be well ahead MOST internet marketers.

Another quick way to find out the commission % offered is to click on the “down” arrow in the lower right-hand side of the product box. That opens up some graphs that give you some information about the product (basically the same as clicking the product username just without opening another window.)

Do I as an affiliate have any liability in Clickbank sales?
For example, in the new products list today there is a product for a stock trading system and a product for a forex system.
I know a little about stock trading, so I could look at the first one a tell if it’s a scam. But I don’t know anything about forex trading - too rich for my blood!
So if I were to sell either or both of these as an affiliate, and it turned out they were scams, am I liable?
I’m a little paranoid, I guess.
Thanks,
Lauree

Hi Lauree -
We certainly aren’t lawyers. My guess would be - it would depend on what you said about them before the sale were made.
Would think the rest would fall to the product creator, but ??
Andrea
29 Lauree Wilkerson // Jul 22, 2009 at 5:09 pm
Andrea, thanks for getting back to me so fast. Yes, I guess the creators of the product would be more liable.
I guess I was feeling burned from all the money I’ve spent on info products that don’t educate, and I want to be sure I don’t do that to any of my customers.
So I think what I need to do is be sure I know who I’m affiliating with, and only market products I’ll be proud to point my mother to! (She’s already asked me several times “Now what is it you’re selling again?” I hate to keep saying I don’t know yet)
Thanks,
Lauree

I go to cb-analytics, then go to New Products RSS, but I can only get about 23 products in the list. I don’t see how to get to the next page. What am I missing?
I asked this question in the previous lesson, then realized I was on the wrong page for the question - sorry about that! Anyway, if you answered it before you don’t need to answer it again.
Thanks!

Hi Lauree -
Just above the first entry - you can set the date range. You’re probably looking at the new entries for a single date.
