    Hi & thanks!

I just sign-up for my Clickbank account. This is after having visited the site several times but never signing up until today. You talked me through and made it seem okay. I did it and it was okay. Now I feel like I can make another little step and get going.

    I’m glad I sign-up with you.

I have already signed up with Clickbank when I started trying to learn Profit Lance.

    Question with this tutorial!
Under Daily Action in this tutorial, it mentions, find 6 keywords for another campaign in Clickbank. Where do you find keywords from please?

    Hi Joyce -

This is the second of the free tutorials … the lessons between them cover the bits that you’re asking about.

If you’ll login to your members account, you’ll be able to choose whatever pace you want to go.

Monthly reveals the Lessons one week at a time. Annual (the better deal really if you’re committed to going through this program) opens up all of the Lessons at the same time allowing you to self-pace.

Awesome that you already have a Clickbank account in place - one step closer :)

I already have my CB account opened, but I noticed they have changed the look and the way the hoplinks are. So now our nickname does not show up in the hoplink, but will show up once you click on the hoplink in the address bar. This verifies that it is linked to your account. Any other changes in CB that we should know?
    Thanks,
    Carole

    Hi Carole -

Everything looks about the same - but your exploration is as good as ours :)

Thanks for the details on the links - they do look different. I’m sure the old hoplinks still work same as ever too.

    Appreciate you,
    Andrea

I noticed the info regarding “jumping thru hoops for CB” and it doesn’t really thrill me. Although, I guess if you’re driving enough traffic who cares, right?
Just curious are there other sites that don’t have the hoops but also pay the higher commissions?
    Thanks,
    Rich

Jumping through what sort of hoops?

Where you have to have several different credit card payments to qualify?

  • 10 Jackie and Andrea // Jun 13, 2009 at 12:05 pm

    Hi Rich -

Not sure where you were signing up? I just went to CB and created a new account to see if maybe something had changed … nope, no cc needed to set-up the affiliate account.

    Start here:
    Sign Up for Clickbank

You will be signing up to promote products not sell them (yet) and you don’t need to give them a credit card to accomplish that.

    Hi ladies,
I just have two questions for today. One is a simple one and the second one might be a little more involved.

1.For saving my cb hoplinks can I use Microsoft Word or is there a better program?
2.How do I make a test lens? I understand you have to sign up for a Squidoo acocunt and I guess reserve the urls.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Sue -

Yes a Word .doc will work for saving hoplinks. You might also consider notepad.

Test lenses are no different than any other lens. You’re going to do all of the same backlinking and promotion that you would do for your full blown campaign.

Only difference here is that you may want to do more than one topic on a single ‘test lens’ Squidoo account … you can move it to a stand alone account later once it’s proven itself a ‘keeper’.

    Hey Jackie and Andrea

Probably a silly question - Is Clinkbank a clearing house for all IM products and services? I recently signed an affiliate agreement with a company and Clickbank was not a topic of discussion.

Also, it seems that Notepad seems to be a requirement for certain functions. When I looked on line it appeared as Notepad ++ - is this the same thing - does one just pick a site and download it?

    Appreciate your thoughts, Cal H

  • 16 Jackie and Andrea // Dec 17, 2009 at 5:36 pm

    Hey Cal,

clickbank is all digital items it’s an affiliate network. If you signed na agreement with another aff network (there are many) there would be no reason to mention cb.

You don’t have to use notepad ~ you can use any text document. Open office is free and will give you all the officey (is that a word) type stuff you need ~ word, text, and can make nice pdfs for you too. :)

    Hi Jackie and Andrea,

You mention above we are supposed to focus on only one product for this learning exercise.

When I did my keyword research I found one product per keyword. I imagined each keyword would be a separate lens but all are tightly linked in subject matter. (ex. hair loss prevention, hair loss shampoos, hair loss vitamins, etc. )

Is that ok or should I go back and pare this down to one product for all lenses in the one campaign.

    Thanks.

    Hi Jackie and Andrea,

The above comment was meant for Lesson Module 9. Sorry for the confusion.

    :)

You can do it either way. You can do the kw as you described above which would necessitate different products ~ but you might also find keywords like cure your slice, how to cure a slice, curing a slice ~ which would call for the same product.
