One of the best ways to spice up your site, whether it’s a Squidoo lens or a page at WetPaint  is to use some html. Html is a code that will make your page do a bunch of different things. In fact, just about anything you want your page to look like you can do with html code.

Html can be a little confusing, just because it’s not a “normal” language that everyone speaks, but when you learn it you can do some really fun stuff.

Today I thought I’d share some of my favorite places to learn html.

Html Tutorials

From Squidoo: These are great lenses that will walk you through different aspect of html code.  Don’t be confused though, html is html, you can use it wherever html is accepted. It doesn’t change just because you are on squidoo.

Those are some great Squidoo lenses about html.  There are plenty of other places that will teach you html as well. Here’s a few places that provide excellent html tutorials.

W3 School : This site can teach you just about any html trick you want to learn. Along the sidebar you will see topics, if you click a topic it will take you to the related html lesson.

Quack It:  Another great resource for simple html lessons.

Don’t even want to mess with hmtl?

Use this html generator. You put your content in the text editor, make it look the way you like it and then click html and it will pop the code out for you. Very cool.

Now you have a ton of options that will help you figure out just how to create visually interesting pages using html. Don’t forget to click through to other sites these sites might recommend. You may find some even better stuff  ~ if you do,  stop by and let us know.
