I Hate Writing Articles ~ Can I Just Skip It??

Here’s one of my favorite questions we get at LearnItStepbyStep.com.

Can I just skip writing articles??

I know, people dread it, the whole article writing thing. People want to know  if it’s something they can skip, or just do once in a while, people want to know if it’s really all THAT important.

Here’s the answer: you can do whatever you want. This is your business.

Here’s some things to consider when you’re thinking about adding article marketing to your arsenal of internet marketing tools.

1.    Article marketing can drive fast traffic to your site.

2.    Article marketing can drive very targeted traffic to your site.

3.    Article marketing can be very quick and easy to do.

4.    Article marketing can help you gain “expert” status.

5.    Article marketing can help you build links to your site helping it improve in the search engine rankings.

As you can see there are a lot of great things about article marketing.

1.    Drive fast traffic:

Because your big article directories are seen as such authority sites, articles can quite quickly find a place in the first page of google for your chosen keywords (and lots of keywords you might not have thought of).

Ezinearticles.com is currently getting 15 MILLION UNIQUE visitors each and every MONTH. That’s a lot of people looking for information. That’s a lot of people who can find your articles just through the article directory alone.

2.   Drive targeted traffic:

Because you are getting traffic from people who are looking for your specific subject, have read your article and are looking for even MORE from you, the target you generate from articles is super targeted. You’ve already “qualified” them. They already know you a little bit and want to know more about what you are offering. This kind of targeted traffic can certainly help increase your conversion rate.

3.    Quick and easy to do:

People often times have the idea that is hard and time consuming to write articles. This certainly can be the case if you choose that route, but it can be very simple and quick as well. Your articles only need to be 250 words. That is pretty short. This email is already well over that length.

There are many article templates on the market where you can just plug in your information into the template and create an article in minutes. This is an especially great tool for people who “can’t write”. If you’re looking for an easy way to get your articles written, it doesn’t get much easier than article templates.  Here are our favorite templates.

4.    Gain expert status:

Here’s a quick tip, if you are creating a site all on one theme, when you are filling in your keywords for each article, always include your OWN NAME as a keyword. That way if someone googles you looking for more information all your articles will come up as well!!

As you continue to write articles on any given topic people will come to recognize you as someone who knows a lot about that subject, they will see you as an expert. When it comes to the internet, “knowing more about something than most other people” is the definition of expert.

5.    Build links to your site:

In addition to getting traffic directly to your site from your articles, you will also build your search engine ranking for your keywords over time. This happens by linking to your site using your keywords in the resource box of your articles. The more articles you do, the more links you will get and the higher your site will go in the search results for your keywords.

Once you make it to page one even #1 on google you will see a lot of free traffic that will continue over time with minimal if any more effort on your part.

So yes, it is completely up to you whether or not you add article marketing to your traffic toolbox, but for something that can take less than 30 minutes to finish it really provides a big bang for its buck. I definitely have it in my toolbox, not just once in a while, but every day!

Can I just say once again how fantastic you two are? You provide such great information and you do it in a way that is clear, makes sense, and makes me feel like even I, a complete newbie, can do this.

Thank you SO much for what you do! I’m SO glad that I made the decision to join the LISBS program. It’s making a world of difference.
