How to Use the Lensroll at Squidoo
We’ve had some people pretty confused by the whole “lensroll” thing lately!
I thought we’d put together a little tutorial on how to effectively use the lensroll function.
First things first, to use the lensroll you have to be on your actual lens, not in the edit mode. The url will in the address bar at the top of the page will be www.squidoo.com/yourlensname
That’s key ~ you can’t find the lensroll button in edit mode.
Once you get on your lens look for the little lensroll smiley face. It will look like this:
Once you find it, go ahead and click it.
You will get a list of all your lenses. Choose the lenses you want to add this lens to. Tick the boxes and then hit ok.
This has just put an anchor text link in the side bar of each lens you picked. The anchor text they used was the title of your lens. (see why it’s important to choose your lens titles wisely??)
Once you have done that one you will have to go to each related lens and duplicate the process, so you will have all your related lenses linked on each lens.
It’s kind of a pain, but it is worth it. It gives you not only an anchor text link for each lens, but yet another way for people to click out on something you own.

Hey Jacqui and Andrea
Thanks so much. I was lost…sorta…with the lens roll stuff.
I’m learning…slowly but steadily.:).

Finally, I’ve been trying to figure out how to add links to the lensroll and haven’t had time to check the Answer Deck or the forum, so thanks!
One of my projects for today was to get lensroll going. I thought it would take ages but with your help it took about 30 seconds. Thanks for sharing. Cheers Paul
