You can make more money giving things away.

The whole idea is to make money right? What if I told you it would be much easier for you to make money if you gave something away for free first?

Think about it for a second. You give someone something for free ~ a report, a video, an article, whatever it is that best meets their needs. Within your free something is quality information that helps them overcome a problem, learn a skill or something they wanted to know.

In addition to helping them out you lead them to another resource that can take the learning even further. Do you think after you’ve given them all this content for free, and they loved it they might be more likely to check out the link to the next resource?

I bet they will ~ MOST of the time, especially if what you gave them for free really matched what they were looking for.

It’s also much easier to say “this free report/video/article reveals the number one secret to . . .”  than “hey check out this product that costs $97″

Where do you find something to give away for free?

It depends ~ there are a few ways you can find freebies to give away.

1. Your affiliate program.

Many affiliate programs will give you free reports to give away to people to introduce them to the product.  If you are in the internet marketing niche Jimmy D. Brown is excellent with this ~ he gives affiliates tons of free reports to give to people.

2. Use PLR.

Create your own free report by combining PLR articles. You will want to add an introduction to the beginning of your new report, and of course you want to add some “recommended resources” within as well as at the end of the report ~ this is where your affiliate links go.

3. Write your own.

Write a quick report yourself. You can find out what people in your industry want to know by checking out busy forums for your niche. Just take a glance through thread topic titles and then answer a question that’s asked in your own words.

Make sure you add an about me section at the beginning, as well as recommended resources at the end of your report.

4. Viral Ebook Sites

There are a few viral ebook sites around. Viral Ebook Explosion is one that I belong to. This is a site where you can go and get ebooks and have them branded with your affiliate links ~ then when you give out the book you will get credit for any purchases made from the book.  These books are generally about making money online, but there are some great books from very well respected internet marketers available. It’s definitely a great way to get started.
