I actually wrote all my articles in word and just copied them to text modules like you said.
But I wanted to ask, is the content less effective if we copied the whole article into the intro section of the lens. Instead of breaking it up into modules?
Just a thought
Thanks again
2 Jackie and Andrea // Feb 11, 2009 at 10:30 pm
Ty -
You should always break up your content into modules - the headers of each section give you additional opportunities to score with the keyword phrase for your lens.
It helps the search engines (as well as your readers) to “get” what the page is about.
Andrea
3 TY EVANS // Feb 11, 2009 at 10:32 pm
ok, that makes sense
This is why you are so important to our success.
Thanks
4 Jackie and Andrea // Feb 11, 2009 at 10:37 pm
Also you have to have a certain number of modules before you can publish a lens. I believe at this time it is 4 but it might be 6.
IT is also much easier for your readers to digest smaller bits of information.

Will we be learning how to write the right information in our lenses? I have everything together but not sure how to properly write it so it works. Thanks
6 Jackie and Andrea // Feb 19, 2009 at 11:35 pm
Hi Valerie -
If you’re meaning how to get your lenses SEO’d well, yes that’s a big part of what we’re doing with people.
On the other hand, if you want one-on-one attention paid to your specific campaigns, that would mean a monthly private coaching commitment/upgrade.
Did you see the link to the article templates for ezinearticles.com? That might help you with the writing side of things?

Hello Ladies
Please cancel my last query.
I have discovered what I did wrong.
In the forwarding, I inserted an incomplete clickbank link. I omitted .net at the end.
The Go Daddy url now goes through to the clickbank product.
I hope that I have not caused you to do undue research on this.
Regards
Jay

Hi Jay -
Glad you figured it out - happens to everyone - no worries.
That’s why I copy and paste everything … operator error is the culprit more often than not when it comes to web addys and html.
Keep on truckin!

Hi Jackie andAndrea, sorry I hve so many questions, but I got a goal to set my first camign by the 7th of April, and I am working hard to achieve it. I have not written contents yet, but I have a question. We added 6 lenses, and each one has a keyword that sometimes is very similar. SOmetimes the only difference is the order of the words, Like for example “Tips to fry a turkey” and “Frying a turkey tips”. And also each lense had additional keywords which I selected from all 6 keywords. So in total I would say that the keywords are shared in some way the 6 keywords. So now when I write the articles, I know you said we should change it slightly. But mainly it will be the same content, maybe expressed in a different way.
I find this teh hardes part. To find my imagination.
Thanks
Andrea
10 Jackie and Andrea // Mar 31, 2009 at 3:34 pm
Andrea,
Yes, you should have keywords that are very related.
You might want to check out these article templates. They will give you some ideas of how to talk about the same thing in different ways.
http://blog.ezinearticles.com/category/article-templates/
You could do one of these articles for each of your keywords ~ talk about the same topic but have completely different content on each of your lenses.
Hope that helps.

Good Weekend to Everyone! Jackie and Andrea, if a campaign has 8 keywords, but I can come at these 8 keywords from different angles capable of 2-3 lenses per keyword with unique content, still relevant directly to the niche, should I do 2-3 lenses per keyword in the same account? Create a second squidoo account?…if I can also grab the URL’s in different forms? I’ve drilled down on the keywords to the fence as far as meeting “good keyword” guidelines or not, so I don’t think I’m too broad.
Is it a concern to have too much content bundled up like that in one spot on one squidoo account just because there is so much there under one account (as in just number of lenses, I hope all of them will be fun to read). What about not having enough “gas” or “content” left over for articles and blogs and websites, etc., is that ever a concern really? I would imagine you can always find another unique way/angle to spin most things? Joel
12 Jackie and Andrea // Apr 5, 2009 at 7:25 am
Hey Joel,
Theoretically that’s all fine. I would do one set first and make sure the campaign is going to fly before you put all that time and effort into it though. Sometimes things just don’t take off for one reason or another.
I don’t see any problem with having all those lenses on one account, it just means you are an “expert” on that topic, and will built trust with your readers.
As long as all your keywords fit the criteria I’d say you’re fine.
I would write it all down, do one set and then let it simmer, see how it does. If it takes off, then go ahead and do the rest.
Jackie

Great way to put it! I’ve become addicted to Squidoo, it would be easy to just get lost on one topic because I really enjoy it and forget why I’m really here…not to mention some folks make a decent amount just from squidoo, but I’m here to change the future, not just enhance it. We need to keep moving forward, testing new things, attacking what works well. I think I just swiped part of that from the end of “Meeting the Robinson’s” …GREAT movie, by the way
14 Shalisha Alston // May 2, 2009 at 7:29 am
Hi. I love this. Question: You say we need to keep our keywords in the front of the module. But then your keyword is “fry a turkey” and you put “top 3 tips for how to fry a turkey without burning the house down”
Your keyword is no longer at the beginning of the module. Does it matter?
15 Jackie and Andrea // May 2, 2009 at 8:56 am
Hi Shalisha,
Yes it does matter. I was trying to make more of a point about creating content on this post, but yes titles matter and I have fixed them to match.

When you say to add a link to each module with the anchor text being our KW’s, can we do links with other important clickable works even though they are not the KW? Such as the name of the product we are referring?
17 Jackie and Andrea // May 21, 2009 at 3:43 pm
Hi Carole -
Jackie just wrote a blog post on this very topic - grin:
http://internetmarketingformommies.com/the-bottom-line-is-whats-your-keyword/
Upshot is - your product name is important to you, not your reader - stick to keywords
Andrea
18 Carole Rowland // May 21, 2009 at 3:56 pm
thanks, just wasn’t sure if I should be using some of the other KW or just the one specific to that lens. The tutorial has us doing 6 related lenses for 1 topic, each lens based on one keyword.
I’ll stick to the KW.
thanks,

Actually, I am following you …Step By Step. But I have been looking at Pot Pie Girls site also, she is using SENuke and some other tools as well. So, I am a little overwhelmed as to which tool to get…trying to put this all together. But at any rate. I am thinking about the Instant Article Wizard you talked about. If I understand correctly it helps with article writing AND article submissions is that correct?
20 Jackie and Andrea // May 28, 2009 at 2:59 pm
We use the unique article wizard. It will create unique articles you can use for blogs, hubpages, wherever you need content, and send a unique version of your article to directories, and blogs that ask for articles related to their topic.
We do not currently use SENuke. We have not found it necessary at this point.
I would think about the things that take you the most time or you like to do the least and then find a tool that will help you do that.
I don’t use a bunch of tools ~ really just UAW ~ and I love it. Otherwise I’ve found free tools have been more than enough.

Hi Ladies,
This is my first post. I am a little disappointed in the time it is taking me to create my content. I have been working on this since the weekend and I have just completed my 3rd (of 6) lens.
I realize that I am not a prolific article writer and I hoping that there is a better way to accelerate this part of the OWM plan, otherwise for me it will have to renamed to the One Month Marketing Plan. lol
I see you mentioned Unique Article Wizard. A while back I was a member for a short time, but if I’m not mistaken, a unique seed article is still required. Am I correct?
If fact, if memory serves me correctly, I think I needed to supply 3 seed articles or should I say 3 versions of a seed article that their service mixes up to create many, many versions of basically the same article.
I am wondering if you have any suggestions. I can’t imagine that most people following this course can write the content and find all the images much faster than me.
Thank you for your help.

22 Jackie and Andrea // Jun 3, 2009 at 4:28 pm
Hi Don -
You’re already 1/2 way through and it’s only Wednesday - that what you’re saying? Sounds like you’re doing great to me
Really - this ‘getting the process down’ is much slower than it’ll be once it’s familiar. Honest.
Do know what you mean though about content sometimes being a challenge (make sure you’re not being too anal about it - yeah?)
Did you see this post on the blog?
http://www.learnitstepbystep.com/blog/7-kick-ass-ideas-to-break-through-writers-block.html
And yeah you’re right about UAW - it takes an original article (like say maybe one you’re going to submit to EZA) and then gets 2 rewrites. Not for everyone. But excellent for generating content for backlinking!
I think you’re being to hard on yourself. Just think IF this turned out to be “2 week marketing” for you - would that be so terrible?

HELP! I created six lenses day before yesterday and then yesterday I spent the day writing information for content for those lenses. So today I sat down to enter that content and I can’t find my lenses???? What did I do??? I tried to re-enter the names to my lenses and it says they are taken? Can I find them some how and reclaim them?

Michelle,
You have to go to squidoo.com and sign in to your account. Once you are signed in you will see a tab that says my lenses, click there and you will find all the lenses you have in that account.
click the edit link under the lens name and you can enter the content for that lens.

can you direct me to a quick explanation on how to create a clickable link (anchor text) within the squidoo text modules? I’m not sure how to do that and I can’t seem to find where it’s explained.
Thanks!

Hi Barbara,
It’s on this lesson:
http://www.learnitstepbystep.com/20-the-ever-important-introduction-module.html
Jackie

html is the same no matter where you put it. So you use the same code whether in the intro module, text or anywhere else you are allowed to use html.
Jackie
33 Barbara Paine // Jun 23, 2009 at 11:00 am
thanks! I’ve done this so many times in other venues but for some reason I was thinking there was something special I needed to do to create a link in Squidoo … maybe a special tool or link-builder I needed to create the link with.
Ok, I’ve successfully added my links — time to move forward!
And PLEASE tell me that I’ll become a wiz at creating the content for these lenses! I’m taking forever just to write up the text for my first lens! It’s going to get faster and easier — right?
34 Jackie and Andrea // Jun 23, 2009 at 11:18 am
It definitely gets easier. I find using the tips format makes life really easy because you can just make each tip a text box ~ 3 tips and you’ve got all your content.
Don’t worry, it gets easier.
Jackie
35 Barbara Paine // Jun 23, 2009 at 12:12 pm
should I be trying to get the 3 additional keywords that I listed when I created my lens into my content and if so, should I be creating anchor text links using those keywords?
I don’t even remember what I listed for the additional keywords when I created the lenses! Where could I find this information?
36 Jackie and Andrea // Jun 23, 2009 at 12:24 pm
I’m not sure what you are referring to Barbara about this “what I listed for the additional keywords when I created the lenses”.
Each lens should focus on one keyword. If you have 6 lenses planned for your campaign, you will be targeting 6 keywords. You can use all 6 keywords for tags on all your lenses.
You only want the anchor text to be the one keyword you are targeting on each lens.
Jackie
37 Barbara Paine // Jun 23, 2009 at 12:30 pm
I just checked and what I’m referring to is the tags that we added when we were initially setting up our lens (lesson 14, step 4)
I guess I thought tags and keywords were one and the same thing. Maybe not?
I also realize that I made a mistake when adding these tags — I didn’t use my main keywords as the first of the 3 tags. I just added 3 of my other keywords in the tag spots.
So now my question is — can I go back and change this part of my lens (so I can put my main keyword into the first of the 3 tag spots)?
And then second, should I be trying to get the other 2 keyword (tags) listed in my content? And if I should, should I be anchoring that text.
does that make more sense?
38 Breakthroughguy // Jul 13, 2009 at 10:57 pm
Hi Jackie & Andrea,
Managed to finish the content for all 5 lenses. It seems to take forever. First I had to research to get all the tips on my tips list and then decide which tip goes to which lens.
Hope it gets easier the next time round but I doubt I could do one campaign a week since I am only doing this part time.
I might just do a test lens first and then scale it up with a mini campaign of say 3 lens. What you think?
Thanks
Greg
39 Jackie and Andrea // Jul 14, 2009 at 5:59 am

Yes to both.
It for sure gets easier and approaching your lens creation that way will give you a nice base of maturing niche tests to draw from.
Sounds like a great plan!
Andrea
40 Breakthroughguy // Jul 19, 2009 at 3:54 am
Hi Jackie & Andrea,
I just thought about keyword density. If I use a particular keyword say How to fry a turkey as the title to all my modules and again in the content of each module, will it be seen as spamming?
Any such problems for you guys?
Another thing - I noticed that Nick used a direct linking to the product page using his URL in all his lenses and no hypertext links.
I think what I’ll do is to use both - either one whenever it is more natural to do so. What you think?
Thanks
Greg
41 Jackie and Andrea // Jul 19, 2009 at 9:38 am
I have not had any problems with looking spammy. I think it all depends on how you write your titles and your content.
If you just use the word how to fry a turkey over and over again ~ yes, that would probably look spammy ~ but if you are giving people tips after the keyword, or giving away secrets or whatever, it makes sense to use the keyword.
The hypertext links will help google know what your page is about ~ it’s an important element of on-page search engine optimization.
You can do both if you have your keywords in the domain name you are redirecting ~ that will also brand your url as what they think of when they think of the product ~ which is a good thing.

Hi ladies,
I did get your comments yesterday. I do plan on getting a domian name this week, I wanted a little more info before I do. I am wondering if one doensn’t have a domain link what do they do for Ezine Articles, if EZA doesn’t allow affiliate links, just wanting to know out of curiosity.
I have been working on content for my test lens and am not sure what to say about my topic. So, how do I write about something I don’t know much about?
This is a just a randon question. Does it matter if one doesn’t have a Facebook page etc.? Is there a way to use these sites to your advantage?
thanks
sue
43 Jackie and Andrea // Sep 29, 2009 at 4:06 pm
Hey Sue,
There are other article directories you can use that will accept affiliate links.
The best way to learn about topics is to do a little research on them ~ check EZA ~ read articles, do a little google searching and read what you can find on the topic. I will say that’s why in the beginning I suggest finding topics you know a bit about, it just makes the process a little easier.
You don’t need a facebook page ~ yes there is ways to make them useful ~ but that’s a WHOLE other ball of wax.

Hi Jackie and Andrea,
It has been awhile since I have done any work. I have gotten “stuck” on working on my test lens and have gotten really frustrated and was about to give up. I have spent the last few weeks taking some tine away from work and realized I don’t want to give up, which I have decided not to. Besides I have come this far and have my test lens about half finished.
I was wondering how you deal with the inevitable frustration, and stay focused and motivated? AND NOT GIVE UP?
I was also wondering if you know of a way to make money fairly quickly online?
Thanks for the suggestions.
sue
45 Jackie and Andrea // Nov 9, 2009 at 8:08 am
Hi Sue,
I’m sorry to hear you’ve gotten stuck. Can you tell me more about what stuck looks like for you? For me giving up is not an option ~ this is how I pay my bills. When it came down to the moment where my husband said “you need to go get a job” that just wasn’t an option in my mind. Then I started doing anything and everything I could to make it work. I doubled my time at the computer at that point.
Making money quickly (from this strategy) comes from getting past the frustration ~ learning to do things quicker, putting up more lenses. I’ve found that focusing on specific products tends to work better for me than trying to find keywords and then match up keywords with them, but that’s just me.
There is nothing so far that I’ve found that is “fast cash” online. But I have yet to find anything in the “real” world that is fast cash either ~ well unless you consider the lottery.
One step at a time, keep taking action, and it it’s actually building the lenses that is giving you trouble check out some of these lens tutorial posts on my blog: http://internetmarketingformommies.com/category/squidoo-lens-tutorial/
good luck.
Jackie
46 Jackie and Andrea // Nov 9, 2009 at 8:23 am
Hi Sue -
One of the things that I always ask people in coaching is - “Why is this important to you?”
In my experience - getting clear on ‘Why’ succeeding is important is a huge piece of the motivation puzzle.
The money that we make (online or anywhere) is generally related to the value we bring to the table … so like Jackie says, fast cash is a myth … it’s a lottery mentality.
Shift instead to ‘how can I over deliver value’ to a market that wants something. Become a problem solver.
This is a battle won in being consistent every day - a marathon rather than a sprint.
Know what I mean?
Andrea
47 Sue Bledsoe // Nov 11, 2009 at 2:53 am
Hi Jackie and Andrea,
I have read your comments. I have spent a little time reading on how to do Squidoo lenses(Jackie’s blog). I got “stuck” on trying to create more content for my lens, but I am “unstuck” now. I am going to tomorrow to some more research for content and take a look at what I have done and maybe change it some.
I think my biggest problem is doubting myself that I can do this, and being a prefectionist. Thinking I would be like a Tiger Woods.
So, tommorrow I am going to try not be like a Tiger Woods and try to finish the content for my lens. I have to remember that I am not creating a masterpiece. My goal for the week is to have my lens published and help it get indexed. Than I will write an article,
Hope this make snse and I didn’t ramble too much.

Are you overworked and stressed out?
Do you feel if there isn’t enough hours in the day?
Than I explained there is a way to have more time etc.
I just want to make sure I am still on the right track. Would it be bad if i mentioned the products name on my lens. I don’t want to get int trouble with Squidoo.

52 Jackie and Andrea // Nov 13, 2009 at 6:00 am
Hi Sue -
You should just publish it as is, make one more drive by “as is” and start the next one.
Unless your keywords are product specific, there’s no good reason to mention it by name.
1. You lock yourself into that product (example- a foot fungus product goes out of production - there are others in the world and you can just switch promo by switching links)
2. The idea is to ‘get the click’ to the product sales page - not BE the sales page. It doesn’t matter what the name of the product is until they are relating to the benefits that they’ll get and are ready to buy.
That’s my early morning thoughts anyway
Andrea

Hi Jackie and Andrea,
I am very close to publishing my lense and have two quick questions.
1.Where in the lense can I put my link? I would think other places besides the big arrow.
2. When I got my hoplink from CB, I cut and pasted two links. One says http://
the other says <ahref=http
Which do I use?
thanks
sue
54 Jackie and Andrea // Nov 13, 2009 at 6:55 pm
You can put a link using your keyword as the anchor text in each of your modules.
It depends which one you use, depending on what you want to do. The http: is just the plain link ~ the other link is the html version that will create a clickable link ~ but it will probably say “click here” you don’t want that. It’s better if you can use your keywords as the link text.
Jackie
55 Sue Bledsoe // Nov 13, 2009 at 10:49 pm
Hi Jackie and Andrea,
I did get your response about the link, but I am a little confused. I would think I would want the html version that is a clickable link. If I use that link couldn’t i change the words “click here” to my keywords.
I also might have missed something about anchor text. Isn’t anchor text just your keywords?
thanks
sue
56 Jackie and Andrea // Nov 13, 2009 at 10:53 pm
Sure you can ~ you can change the text click here to anything you want it to be. I was just saying you don’t want the words “click here” as your anchor text you want your keywords there.
Yes, you can use the clickable code in your text modules ~ but now it seems the intro module has a text editor so you will need to highlight your keywords and then use the regular link ~ you also need the regular link in the big arrow module.
Jackie

Hi Jackie and Andrea,
I am getting closer to publishing my lens. I finally did the domain forwarding tonight. I am still confused about links in your lense.
When I signed up at CB, I got two links. Do I just take one and copy/paste into my lense, but that doesn’t look really “nice.” How does the link tool work in the intro module?
Hope this make sense, I just really confused.
thanks
sue
58 Jackie and Andrea // Nov 14, 2009 at 5:22 am
Hi Sue -
Lesson 20 has the anchor text info you need.
You want only your keyword phrase showing and clickable.
Use the shorter code from CB as the url that you forward to and the domain in the html for the link itself.

Hi. I have a question. I’m finding that I am far too overwhelmed with finding the 6 keywords and making 6 lenses or even five. I’m finding that because I feel pressured to get them done in a week, I end up doing a sloppy job and not writing good informational content. I’ve decided that doing 3 keywords and lenses takes so much pressur off me and allows me to focus on quality work. But is it enough to just have campaigns with 3 lenses in it every week or does it have to be 5 or 6? I’m working from home full time and then I’m doing this after my full time job so there really isn’t a whole lot of time. Can I sill be successful doing 3 lens campaigns? I’m sure as I get better at it, I can up the lenses. But for now my main concern is can I be successful with 3 lens capaigns?

Perfect! Making the three lenses and going through the OWM process with the 3 lenses makes it more enjoyable. Is there are reason she says make 5-6 lenses?
62 Jackie and Andrea // Dec 10, 2009 at 5:22 pm
Because it’s what worked for her. Like most things in internet marketing ~ you’ll have to take the basic concepts and then mold them into something that will work for you.

Oh.. okay.. I’m learning that there is no “right” or “wrong” way to do this thing… It’s a relief to know this OWM allows for flexibility. You made my day. Also, I am enjoying the process more now that I don’t have all this pressure on me. Also, I was STUCK of having to find clickbank products, but when you talked about looking through amazon for ideas, I realized there are so many things I LOVE in the small appliances/kitchen department that I really would enjoy writing and making lenses on. If you want to include a link to your product in your text which link should you include your product hop link or the url you purchased from go daddy to forward the product link to?
65 Jackie and Andrea // Dec 13, 2009 at 11:45 am
You should have forwarded the domain to point to your hoplink ~ from there you always use the forwarded domain name in your links.
66 Melvin Cole // Dec 13, 2009 at 12:20 pm
Got it. I put the link in the text but it is not active, how do I activate it?
67 Jackie and Andrea // Dec 13, 2009 at 12:34 pm
there is a whole post on forwarding your domain ~ check it out. Check the “lessons” tab at the top of the page you can find it easily from there.
You don’t want to use your url as the TEXT of the think though ~ you want the text of your link to be your keywords.
68 Melvin Cole // Dec 13, 2009 at 2:51 pm
I must have missed it, all I saw was lesson 16 on domain forwarding but that dealt with buying a domain from go daddy to link to our hop links.
I did not see it cover creating links in text to the product.

I guess when you said “activate” I thought that’s what you meant. If you scroll to the bottom of this post: http://www.learnitstepbystep.com/20-the-ever-important-introduction-module.html the code to make your link clickable will be there.

Hi Jackie & Andrea:
I would like to link Amazon for my product. I know how to get a text link from them using my affiliate a/c, and Iknow how to embed this link in a keyword anchor html code.
However, I do not like the campaign name they have for me. (Was set up before I started this campaign.)
I thought I could get around this by using the Squiddo Amazon reseller feture, but was not sure if using Squidoo’s Amazon feature would eliminate my using keyword anchor text. If it did then I am losing ability to SEO for my keyword.
Question. Which is better route from an SEO perspective?
1. Uuse the Squidoo Amazon reseller option.
2. Use my existing amazon a/c (with unrelated name) to get a text link and embed in the keyword anchor text html code.
Hope this is clear.
Thanks.
Laura

The name of your account will just be a small piece of the link and has nothing to do with the seo. Use the text link from Amazon. You can always set up a new one too, it will also allow you to track where your sales are coming from, but it’s not necessary.

Hi Jackie & Andrea:
I just tried to get the link from Amazon for my product using my associate a/c. They deliver a long string of html, not appropriate for a keyword anchor text link.
What to so? Is this covered somewhere else on learnit?
Thanks.

when you click the link to this page in the grey stripe at the top make sure you click “text only” so you will get just the link to use.
Here’s a tutorial that may help: http://internetmarketingformommies.com/how-to-get-html-from-amazon/

Hi Jackie,
Thanks for your answer, sorry for being so obtuse, but I have done what is taught on the link you provided above over and over. I just did it again, and this is what I get:
ScoopFree® Self-Cleaning Litter Box
Certainly not a simple URL appropriate for anchor text html code.
I am at the point of just using the simplest way, which is using Squidoo’s Amazon account. I have already created about three pages using it. Works just fine.
Not sure what I am doing wrong with Amazon affiliate links to be able to get a simple url name for insertion in the anchor text html code.
Any ideas are welcome. Thanks!

Hi Laura -
That link seems to work okay for me?
Andrea
76 Jackie and Andrea // Jan 5, 2010 at 6:33 pm
That IS the anchor text html.
you just need to change the words “ScoopFree® Self-Cleaning Litter Box” to the keywords you are targeting.

Thanks Jackie and Andrea,
The code is not the standard code for anchor text, so I got confused.
Yes I do see where I can change what is supplied with my keyword. Will do!
THANKS SO MUCH.

I am writing articles to be broken up for the text modules. I’ve been writing them in Word but I have to keep stopping to count my words manually. Is there some way I can get Word to automatically keep my word count? Or do you have another suggestion?
79 Jackie and Andrea // Feb 15, 2010 at 10:07 pm
click the tools button at the top and then click on word count.

I appear to have accidentally titled two lenses identically. The URL’s are correct up in the browser field, but the one of the titles is wrong. I corrected in the Introduction area, but that didn’t seem to change the title as listed in my list of lenses. How do I fix this? Thx!
81 Gary Materra // Feb 20, 2010 at 5:27 pm
In addition to my question from 2/18 above, I have a question about customer reviews. I have found a number of these on different sites and I want to quote some on my lens. Can I do a partial or full quote and not specify where it came from? What do you do? Thanks….Gary
82 Jackie and Andrea // Feb 20, 2010 at 7:01 pm
Hi Gary -
Hmm - not sure about the titles - you wanna shoot me the links via email?
As far as customer reviews - I do just use them (like taking customer responses from Amazon) … though you’d want to be certain that the FTC guidelines were met at this point.
Here’s a blog post from Michel Fortin that may shed some light:
http://www.michelfortin.com/give-testimonials-reality-check/
Hope that helps,
Andrea

I read the Fortin blog post and still wasn’t quite sure what it meant. Do you deal more with FTC disclosures later in the series? This is a physical product that I’m selling on Amazon, and what I’m taking is some snippets from other sites, giving only the name abbreviation and location just as I found it.
84 Jackie and Andrea // Feb 21, 2010 at 7:52 am
Yeah join the club.
My feeling is this FTC is something to be aware of but not something to sweat in the case of Squidoo lenses - especially for a physical product.
But we each have to make our own business decisions.

Hi Girl’s,
You are doing a really great job and I appreciate all the help you have given me so far. I have started writing my content for my 1st. lens. What I have been doing so far is using my lens keyword in my content but no other keywords. I have only written one module so far. The thought just came to me that I am suppose to use my other keywords as well. am I right in thinking this. If this is the case then I need to re-write my first module again with all keywords. Is this what I am meant to do?????
Thanks
Sharyn
86 Jackie and Andrea // Feb 23, 2010 at 8:58 pm
Each of your lenses will target one keyword. You will build a separate lens for each of your keywords, so it sounds like you’re right on track.

Sorry girl’s I have another quick question. Roughly how many words per module?
Thanks
Sharyn

Hi Jackie and Andrea,
I am at present writing my content for my modules. I am on my second one and I was just wondering can you put in too much information? My first one I did I followed your instructions but with the second module I found I had more to say. Can you say too much??
89 Jackie and Andrea // Mar 1, 2010 at 6:14 pm
You can say too much. You don’t want to give away ALL the information because then there’s no reason for people to click through to the product. You want to make sure you give them interesting but incomplete ~ so they can get the rest of the information from what you recommend.
